Hi Guys and gals,

Why not just enjoy your Hallicrafters the way it was made to be used. Us 
"olde timers" used to follow signals up and down the bands because that's the 
way it was back then.  The transmitters probably drifted as much as the 
receivers, so even if you had a stable receiver, your hand always stayed on 
the bandspread knob!

If you want a stable radio, there are plenty of them on the market and if you 
are good, maybe Sanity Clause will put one in your stocking.
