Stick a fork in another one I guess. In addition to another no doubt well 
intentioned beginning "restorer" acquiring a cleaning lesson the hard way 
what are the odds that UPS will finish off that Ranger or give the new owner 
more of a project than he was expecting? I am concerned about the recent 
explosion in the popularity of internet buying and selling of many of our 
remaining old radios followed by the then necessary packing and shipping, are 
we are making our old radios rare before their time? It has been my 
unfortunate experience most folks, most of the time (not all) just will not 
go to the trouble to pack a radio properly after they have cashed your check. 
They seem to want to just send it down the road to get rid of it and let the 
buyer and UPS work it out because that's what insurance is for. Even if you 
get them to agree with your packing requests most will just pack it the way 
they want to anyway in an old flimsy used box with some peanuts or crumpled 
newspaper. Then when you call to inform them it was damaged they will act 
very surprised and say "I just don't understand it!!!, !*#&! ~ I have never 
lost one packed that way!" That combined with the position of most beginners 
that you must try to make everything look shiny new again... I am getting 
concerned.
