Hi, me again.
Well, the surface was a little more "textured" than I liked (from the
primer) so I took some wet/dry 600 and 'smoothed' it then wiped it with an
old Tee shirt.  Then shot it again with the aluminium paint.  It really is
nice and smooth and does look better.  Decided that I might later wish I'd
"done it right".   I did (belatedly) read all the info on the below site.
