I can not explain this here, so suffice it to say:

I need several of you to show up extra early to hold down 7.280 Mhz lsb for the
Saturday HCI 40 meter Net. A group of chit chatters has decided they are going
to talk, Net or no Net. We have been there for four years, I know that means
nothing in itself. But it does mean courtesy and it does mean cooperation.
Attempts on air, and by private e-mail, to work with these five guys, gets
absolutely nowhere. Their response? So move! As some of you know, they moved up
to 7.281 last week. I tried to work with them, even offered to drop the pre-Net,
did not care. One can only do so much.

While I will not knowingly violate FCC rules, I will not be bulldozed either.
The Net is well known and well advertised. We will hold it on schedule at 1:00
PM EDT, (1700 UTC) on 7.280 Mhz lsb. If some of you wish to show up earlier,
and secure the frequency, it would be appreciated. I do not mind cooperating
with others to make it pleasant for all involved, but I do object to rudeness,
apathy and a blatent disregard for the rights of other Ham Radio operators.

This issue is being observed by 'higher powers'. Let us do the best we can to
conduct the Net in a proper and ethical manner and hope that the others who are
creating the problem will decide to cooperate and work with us for the good of
all involved. I will be on th air no later than 12:30 PM EDT, (1630 UTC), if
some of you can be there earlier, so much the better.

Thanks!
