     All right you guys. I have a gripe. I now have an SX-71 to restore and 
its all your fault.
     All the talk recently by others about restoring an SX-71 got me looking 
through some old pictures. I found one of my son, then about 5, sitting in 
front of a receiver with a pair of headphones on and tuning the dial.
     You guessed it, an SX-71.
     Well, got to looking around to see if I could find one and a really 
nice one followed me home yesterday. The panel only needed cleaning and the 
cabinet is almost as good. The lid will need repainted.
It works fairly well considering it is full of the original caps. Found 2 
weak tubes and that helped a little. The chassis top cleaned up nicely and I 
  already have it half way recapped with orange drops. Been working on it 
almost none stop since I got it yesterday.
     So now you know why I am upset with the list.
     This is ALL YOUR FAULT :-\....................

     But thanks for helping me remember a really nice old radio. This one is 
a keeper for sure. The picture also had a Heath AT1 sitting beside the 
SX-71. And I have one of those so I think I am going to put the two together 
and have my son sit for another picture. He is 42 now.
