[Hallicrafters] SX-71 Front panel labels

Hello all
Looking the front panel of this SX-71 over closely, it is actually in worse
shape than I thought. I'm considering removing the "h" logo (comes off
easily), masking off the name just below it that says "the hallicrafters
co." and then completely stripping the rest of the panel, derusting it and
refinish in flat black at the same time I do the cabinet. So far, the only
thing keeping me from doing this is re-labeling all the controls. I'm not
picky about an exact reproduction silkscreen job as this is going to be my
primary "in use" boatanchor receiver, not a museum piece and I have promised
to "keep it for life". I have a pair of large, very nice heavy weighted
knobs for the main and bandspread tuning that will replace the funky chipped
knobs, so this unit isn't going to be completely "original" anyway. I just
want it to look nice.

As the present lables are rather plain white lettering, and there are no
really "special" fancy fonts or anything I have considered trying to find
someone who could make labels up on perhaps a "Casio" electric labelmaker or
similar. You know, the white lettering on clear tape. Any ideas? Funds
for this project are nearly non existent.

Anyone out there who would be willing to make the labels up at a reasonable
cost? If they looked any good at all the front panel would have to come out
better than it is now ;-)
