[Hallicrafters] Determining age of SX-71 ??

Hello
I was under the impression that the SX-71 was manufactured from about '50 to
'53 or so.  Then I ran across what was apparently a picture of an earlier ad
on the HCI site.

Also, I thought tubes back then were "date coded" much as modern parts are.
This set has a number of what I presume must be "original" Hallicrafters
tubes, but the numbers don't appear to really mean anything.
