an adventure.

Last Sat, GVARC voted to buy a portable, lightweight, crankup tower. It
should be ready from Force 12 on about 16 April.

Shipping from F12 to Gilroy costs between $150 to $250. We can save
that if someone from the club would go to Paso Robles with a small pickup
truck and truck it on back to Gilroy. GVARC would, of course, pay for gas.
I'll bet Tom, N6BT, the founder of Force 12, would give you a tour of
the plant and tell you a couple of good stories (the adventure part).

The tower is a little under 9 feet long and only weighs about 100 lbs.
We may also save more by not requiring the shipping crate.

So, who has a truck and a little time for an adventure? Please contact
me if you can help out.

Thanks, Tony

P.S. We plan on using the tower with the club beam and rotator at a local
function May 1st, Field Day for sure, and, because it's EASY, other times
throughout the year.
