Subject: EC: new ham class
Dear Friends,
This Saturday, July 31st, at College of San Mateo, there will be a One Day
Study Session followed by an exam for a Technician class amateur license.
If you do not know about this, check www.specsnet.org.
As some of you know I (and several other hams) in the past have taught a 3
or 4 hour class for hams that just got their license from the One Day Class.
Some of these people really come out eager for information about amateur
radio.
I just discovered my daughter and future son-in-law are taking the 7/31
class, so I got a room at the Community Center so I can offer a follow on
class to everyone on August 7th.
Look at www.specsnet.org for class information.
or look right here:
Introduction to Amateur Radio and Emergency Communications Class
Saturday, August 7th in room 16 of the Hillview Community Center, 97
Hillview Ave, Los Altos
The Class will be from 8:30 AM to Noon - If you have an HT, bring it with
it's instruction book. $3.00 fee for handouts.
Class is designed primarily for those who get their license on 7/31 -
However everyone is welcome.
Any questions? Contact Tom Smith, KD6SOJ, (650) 967-9548 or
tom at halibut.com.
Please email Tom if you are coming so there will be enough handouts.
Any questions? Please call.
