Hi Frank, et al,
It seems that for the small incremental price difference,
the LPT-1242 is the way to go. The only real downside is
the longer nested length, making it more of a challenge to
transport. The added weight means it takes one more guy
to haul it around (3 men instead of 2). I think it's worth having
the extra extended length.
On the loss of the Doe Flat campground, I think it might
be worth pursuing the identity of the party that reserved it.
It's not like we're going to send Nunzio out to break their
kneecaps, it's just that we'd like to see if some sort of deal
can be worked out, like we pay for an alternative site for
them somewhere else. If we go to the ranger's supervisor,
whoever that is, and tell them our predicament, a reasonable
person would hopefully see things our way and let us know
how to contact the other party.
