[GVARC] N6IJ Still Available for SSB WPX

Folks:


N6IJ is still avaialable this weekend for WPX.  We could do a multi single, 
or just single op if we have a really motivated op...

It is heavily spoken for for WPX CW...I have to figure out the best use for 
the multiple requestors...

BTW:

The recent Monterey County Science Fair had a couple of York School students 
win the grand prize.

These kids mounted 2 arrays of 4ea electret mics (omnis) on a big sombrero, 
to prove the concept of  multiple mics aiding in hearing aid permformance. 
They wrote their own software which, after entering coordinates for the 
locations of each array element, and phase information, drew the beam 
patterns created.  They programmed a gate array, to perform delay functions 
of the audio for each microphone element.  HIGH SCHOOL kids, these.....

Someone better grab them and show them how antennas and antenna modelling 
programs, and ham radio in general works....
Contact York School, and invite them to your next club meeting..have them 
show their project....
