Folks:


Having heard of the latest in technology in ham Radio, IRLP, I looked up 
IRLP using that term in Google, and found a wealth of information on the 
interesting new technology, that allows long range hybrid connections to 
suitably equipped VHF and UHF ham repeaters via soundcard equipped internet 
terminals.  I am still reading, but it appears that you can register 
yourself as a licensed radio amateur into the IRLP system, and with the 
informaton avaialble from the internet, use repeaters all over the world to 
communicate with other hams.  Quite interesting.  You might want to check 
out IRLP via Google....
