When you have it open, carefully look at the print hammer. Often the rubber
type material has perished and requires replacement. There are 3 parts in
this assembly, the hammer, a cylinder rod (1.6mm dia, 5mm length.) and the
faceplate (5mm x 5mm x 1mm). Mine was missing the last 2 parts and I am in
the middle of creating replacements. Also check the motor - I have seen
60Hz and 400Hz motors (for aircraft/ships). There should also be a set of
spare gears to change baud rate.
