[GreenKeys] FS: Siemens T-37 (Netherlands)

We have a T 37H in a desk at the AWA Museum.  There is a "roll-top" that 
covers the keyboard and can be locked, to prevent unauthorized use.  The 
unit is connected to I-Telex.




Ours has a horizontal slit cut in the wood to the right of the keyboard.

I notice that the one for sale in the Netherlands has the same slit 
(picture 3)

Does anyone know the purpose of that slit?
