I just took a peek at the part in question.  I have a lathe.  I believe it would be trivial to churn out a batch of these machined from clear plastic rod.  The trick with machining plastic is to get a good crystal clear finish.  Mr Clean scouring pads with the right pressure and speed do that quite well.
