I suspect the synchronous motors of the AC-variants MITEs have rotors
with a combination of permanent magnet excitation and a self-exciting
ferrite ring to minimize the risk of "tipping".

>>> I feel very lucky to have a working MITE and even more to have a 60cycle unit thanks to a GreenKeys lead. My ultimate goal is to have it mated up to my PRC-47 and operating in the field, I still need to find the CV-2455 converter to complete the project, I'm currently running it from the GRC-106/MD-522 combination.

>>> I have read(not official) on two occasions that there is a 28V version of the MITE, the manual states availability of two AC motors 60 or 400 cycle, it makes no mention of a DC version, the manual is dated 4/1966.
>>>
>>> I would like to ask if any one has actual hands on experience or documentation or pictures of a 28V MITE. I also would like to thank all of you for making this list a great resource for all things Green Keys.
