[GreenKeys] Remex tape reader - series 9000

Anybody using the Remex tape reader ( I was interested in the series 9000) ? Does it work for Baudot and ascii ?
Looking for manual please. Does it get connected into the local loop ?

I saw one in Eugene's shack tour.

Curious about why all the interest in Navy equipment.  What about the army, air force, etc. ?
Since I am Canadian, I'm not familiar with all the military gear.
