They'd be illegal in VK/ZL, going by AS3000; not that that stops idiots 
from wiring their own extension leads and transposing active and 
neutral, pf course...

Or worse still: active and neutral transposed at the outlet (common in 
older homes) and neutral/earth transposed in Joe Stupid's extension cord; 
either will seem to work by themselves, but combine the two...

NB: The above probably doesn't apply to USA/Canada.
