I had to take one semester in the 8 th grade of typing. The room was full of typewriters and all the keys were blank so it was no good to look at the keys.

We had the same kind at home but with the keys labeled. Then about 5 years later at a technical school had a semester of computer programming and the computer was remote with the model 33 Teletype to send and receive the data. That was in 1970.

Jump to around 1980 and I got my model 19 and some of the typing started to come back as we had a repeater on the 220 MHz band with about 20 rtty users.

For me the typing and time/timing was pretty easy
I learned to play piano in parochial school (K-8) and played in
church, the typing thing came easy in
the High school classes and I credit the piano playing for it.
