Acrylic bends and melts around 160C or 320F. And you can knock vent holes
in it pretty easy
The 14 has 4 vent holes in the top of its case on the left and right
All that said I highly doubt the interior temp would ever get that high
with or without vent holes.
And depending what you greased the teletype with it would probably run
better on the warm side. ;-)
