If anyone is looking for a specific air freshener product :
Citrus Magic air freshener works really well to clean off gunk. Even though
it is "all natural" the chemical makeup is similar to
"Orange based" turpentine and just as flammable.

Goo B Gone is similar to Citrus Magic without the spray and also has the
same pleasant orange smell.
Then you have White Spirits/Mineral Spirits all less harsh on painted and
plastic compared to Acetone...
I went all Nuclear with the acetone because there was no Paint or Plastic
*that I cared about"
The spacebar on the machine is bakelite so acetone wasn't gonna affect it,
and the front bar I was repainting anyway.
I usually start with alcohol then white spirits or enamel reducer then if
those aren't doing the trick I'l go with Lacquer Thinner or Acetone.
In this case I just went nuclear and broke out the acetone.
