It's interesting that they say to turn off the power switch, but not
unplug the power cord. This leaves the AC present on the terminal block on
the right side of the machine. I like to unplug stuff before taking it
apart.

I started working in radio stations in June of 1970. We had a wire service
machine, though I don't remember if it was AP or UPI. I did not have to
change gears on the machine. Either it was the other service or it had
already been done.
