They are not too bad to ship. You need to clamp the mechanism to the case as it floats and if you don't it tends to destroy its send as the case slice bits off the keys.
So you need some rubber bungs or 1" dowel, UNF bolts and a sheet of thin plywood or thick card clamp it all up. 
Then double box...
