[GreenKeys] Common configurations for 28ASR with auxiliary reperf

What was the most common way to hook up an under-dome typing reperf on a model 28? Was it put on the same loop as the main machine, or was it more common to put it on a separate loop?
The reason I ask is because I have a 28ASR with an under-dome typing reperf. The machine has only one loop plug, connected to terminals 1 and 3. I assume wiring in the cabinet connects the reperf to the same loop. But the reperf has a speed control, so the reperf could receive at higher speed than the typing unit. That would suggest a split operation might be of interest.
All the 28 manuals and wiring diagrams I am finding don’t say much about how the under dome typing reperf is connected inside the cabinet. But perhaps I am looking incorrectly. I’m not sure how I would best split it out if I wanted to.
I appreciate any clues to further information.
