 Hi Paul,

The ST-8000 has RS-232 I/O. I used HCPL-4100 & HCPL-4200 optoisolators to go
loop to/from arduino. I used a cheapo ttl-RS-232 converter for the Arduino RS-232 I/O.

The ST-8000A actually has RS-232 I/O. I modified mine. I removed the MIL connectors and
installed 2 RCA jacks for audio I/O and PTT and DE-9 jacks for RS-232 data and control I/O.
