Holy cow! What a fantastic github project, Bill. Thanks for sharing. Do tell more!

How did you physically connect everything? ST-8000 -> Arduino -> Model 33?   Are the interfaces on each side of the Arduino both RS-232? Do you remember kind of Arduino you used? It had two RS-232 ports, or am I way off base?

Does the ST-8000 have RS-232 out? 

Man, sorry for all these questions but this looks like a really fun project to do.

I always wanted to use an ST-8000A for something like this, but there is no way to get RS-232 out of an ST-8000A unless you have a special (unobtainium) board that George Hutchison used to make and sell a long time ago. 

I’ve never found a way to get RS-232 out of an ST-8000A. It sounds to me like the ST-8000 solves the problem if I can find one of those.
