I remember those disks! They were recessed into the cardboard spools and
had a small hole in the center of the recess.

Subject: [GreenKeys] Faulty memory?
As I'm installing the first new roll of paper, (the aged gray pinkish stuff
left in the printers has so far been enough for testing) I'm thinking there
used to be a metal disk you had to remove to put it on a
15 or 28 spindle. Am I remembering wrong? This might have been a AP/UPI
thing since working at the TV station tended to keep me in paper supply.
