Ha! What you didn’t see was the footswitch.
Actually I have any number of ways to key the radio - KEY lever on the M28, KOS or PTT button in my homebrew
“Modem - Teletype Interface Unit” software, KOS or TX switch in TU’s. If I’m hand typing, I find the footswitch
works best for me. If I use KOS and pause too long between characters, it makes things flakey on the receiving
end. If I wanted to I could use the VOX on the Flexradio, but I like positive key control and sometimes VOX doesn’t
do what you want it to do and has the same problem with long pauses.
