True! I don't have jacks for the printers. Instead I just have cables with
plugs on them that I plug into the loop jacks. It seems like the patch
cords should be male/female. 1/4 inch plugs could be panel mounted, though
that's certainly unusual. Cord mount 1/4 inch jacks are common, but I
don't think I've ever seen any with shorting switches.
