[GreenKeys] M28 LPR reperf

I've been checking out a M28 LPR, chadless tape, reperf.  I'm mainly a
Kleinschmidt & M15 guy and don't have much experience with M28s (they
just seem to run & I don't have to do anything with them). So some
questions on the LPR:

1. Does the LPR punch the feed holes? or do the feed pins just pierce
the tape?  (the feed holes look small and pierced rather than punched.)

2. The print was light, so I put in a new ribbon, but it didn't make
much difference.  I remember seeing some comments about
problems/solutions to a print hammer problem.  What is the problem and
is there a solution?

3.  Were different tape readers required for chad and chadless tape?
Tried running a tape from the LPR on a TT-76 (it is designed for both
sizes of tape) , but there were lots of errors.  I can understand that
with fully-punched tape, you would want to sense the tape in the middle
of the hole. But with chadless tape you might want to sense near the
edge of the hole, away from the chad hinge?

Thanks,

Duncan
