[Follow up]

The bids to ship 260 pounds from Wisconsen to Seattle so far were: $2000. After the website estimated $500 - $900. I haven't seen any bids from yesterday. I wonder what this eBay seller's secret is:

Michegan is even further but $200 is  _totally_  affordable...after next payday...I bought an HP-85B that went on sale after I saw the shipping bids.

Not to discourage anybody, but WOW is freight to Seattle expensive! And this area seems to be a sort of dead zone for hobbies, for some reason - I've had that impression the whole time I've used eBay, since 2000. And it's a really nice machine. Don't know if I'm too late, and It's almost guaranteed to fail, but I can ask Mom. Who is impervious as a bill collector. Hmmm...people on Twitter were always starting something called a GoFundMe for medical bills around last winter, but I think they stopped because it didn't work. But, it's worth a shot... :-)
