Hi gang,

Today I did some serious tree trimming.  I though a lot about the guy 
who held W9DDD before me.

He worked for the Wisconsin Department of Forestry and later Arkansas 
Department of Forestry.  His move vacated W9DDD for me.

The regret ... While I was serving in the military he sent me a QSL 
explaining his prior "ownership" and inquired about me.

Unfortunately I only saw the card during a brief visit home and didn't 
do anything about it.  Later I could never find the card.  Every once in 
a while I think about it again.  The tree trimming triggered the memory 
again.
