Yeah, me too!  But a minor correction --- First Class Package weight limit is now 1.000 pounds instead of 13.000 ounces.

Sorry to get into this, and I'm sure I'll shortly be even sorrier, but.. 

 

USPS is actually VERY cheap for very small packages, thanks to 1rst class package mail.  $4.30 to get 13oz or less across the country.  And then there's Media Rate, if you're sending books or manuals--absurdly cheap compared to other commercial services!   

 

You don't need to go to the post office.. just open a (free) account at stamps.com.  USPS tracking works ok..  nobody's tracking is perfect.  And, the really great thing:  just apply the printed label, put it in your mailbox, and it's gone!
