A while back, someone on GK was compiling a list of movies with Teletype sightings and if I remember correctly it was a quite impressive list.

A piece of paper jamming a Teletype's bell was a major plot angle of the movie. It prevented an important message from being received.

I spotted some Model 28 KSRs in the 1971 sci-fi movie "Andromeda Strain" while I did a bit of YouTube research. This video shows the machines and their location (armed forces base offices?) at 02:54 in: "https://youtu.be/ut9ejKRuni0". I don't think any were running during this scene though.
Aside from the spotting, there is a character in Michael Crichton's book "Andromeda Strain", and this 1971 movie, bearing the same name as me. Dr. Mark Hall, portrayed by actor James Olson. Ain't that so cool?

This concludes this test of the Early Senility Warning System. Had this been an actual emergency, I would have remained sitting at my computer babbling softly and drooling profusely. Thanks for the insurrection, now back to regularly scheduled programming.
