Hey John;

eBay is more interested in having lots of ads of stuff - even
if it isn't selling - because it keeps people browsing and
who knows, maybe they'll buy something else that they see.

There's been a HF radio that's been on there for over a year. The
guy is asking $20K. I may be wrong - but I don't know of any
amateur radio gear that is worth $20K.

Basically once they have their website up, it really doesn't cost
them much to have ads listed forever.
