[GreenKeys] Early early Model 28 catalog - many prototypes

This document represents the kind of dreams that keep the technically minded motivated. Designing one teletype would be fun, but designing an entire modular erector set of teletype building blocks? Sounds like the kind of stuff that an engineer would lay in bed until 3AM dreaming about. The one thing I always found disappointing is that they couldn't come up with a way to make the enclosures modular too, so that a KSR could be upgraded to an ASR by just bolting together the appropriate cabinets. I guess the sheet metal department didn't have the same lofty aspirations as the mechanical department.

I was saddened to see that the immersible unit can't actually be used underwater. There goes my dream of producing counterfeit Kennedy Assination telegrams from the comfort of my hot tub.

Thanks for sharing!

For your edification and reading enjoyment -
I have acquired and scanned an interesting document showing many prototypes and artist's conceptions of proposed Model 28 equipment. Many of these were probably never produced. The early 28 reperf with add-on typing section is certainly interesting. Not to mention the IMMERSIBLE set on page 27-29
