Hi
There is a guy named Bill in LA who has a Teletype Model 35 that I am told is in very nice shape. I'd love to take it myself but shipping is too expensive and difficult despite the suggestions given here. The Pedestal is branded SDS, as in the old Sigma S7 computer. Xerox bought them out and sold the Sigma afterwards. That would date the Teletype in the late 60's or so. This would be a nice museum piece. I am told the Model 35 is practically unused.
I am hoping that in exchange for this Teletype someone would not mind packing and shipping to me a business computer and monitor from the same location. The person who owns these items is not able to pack and ship the items safely. He already attempted to mail me a model 33 and it was ruined despite my coaching how to.
The owner will pay the shipping cost.
So if it's worth a Model 35 Tty to you to pack and ship a computer to me, let me know. To sweeten the pot I am told he has other computers and model 33 teletypes, and would probably sell them/give away I don't know. This might be a windfall of cool items.
Anyone interested? https://www.vintagecomputer.net/contact.cfm. My timeline is next two weeks if possible.
Thanks
