[GreenKeys] Model 28 Keyboard arrangement

First time I took a 28 keyboard apart for cleaning and replacing weather symbols, I was ready to kick myself into the asset.
The entire thing was falling apart and thought that I will never be able to get the keyboard back together.
But it was actually easier than I thought. Started with the top row (red function keys) and worked my way down to the space bar. Every time I had a row back in place, I used a 1/4" wooden dowel under the face plate to support that row and started on the next.
With some patience and a steady hand, everybody can do it.
A little side note: I cleaned the gummed up keys very well and polished them with ArmorAll - man, they look brand new, maybe better.

I’ve cleaned up 4or 5 M28 keyboards with no problem. Paul Cembura has replacement blank hole covers for cheap.
The keys are affixed to the Keylevers. First you remove the face plate and then unsnap the Keylevers from the Codelevers.
Best fun is getting all the keys back into the face plate.
Hmmm I wonder if you can remove a key/keylever without removing the face plate? Should be enough clearance when a key is depressed. If not depressed, is it possible?

As someone who has two keyboards that need a _lot_ of TLC; how likely
is it that the keys will actually survive removal, cleaning, and
reinstallation? I know from previous experience that the blank covers
for filling unused keyboard key holes in the key cover _will_ shatter
if removed, so I have been reluctant to remove my keyboard keys.
