[GreenKeys] Seeking Tape Winder

I don't think a 16mm reel is wide enough to handle 8 level tape. They are just a
little wider than needed for "3-level tape" used in many BOEHME Morse keyer tape
systems.

I had a Navy Morse Trainer. I bought it used. It had the original 'take up reel' and two
16mm film reels to hold the tape. When I used it I let the tape fall into a waste basket
next to the typewriter. When I was through, a hand crank could be placed on the 'supply
reel' allowed me to wind the tape back on the reel. The crank came with the set.

I've seen 'wind-up' tape winders and I think that the 'reel' has a removable side to
easily remove the tape, once wound on it. I don't know if this would accommodate
8-level, (1 inch) tape. I would not be surprised if TELETYPE made one for 1" tape.
Those with the Parts and Equipment catalogs might be able to verify this.

Not sure what the tape winder is supposed to do but back in
the dim dusty past MacElroy made tape pullers and also manual
tape winders that looked like motion picture film winders. Maybe
a 16mm film winder could be adapted for the purpose. Of course
they are likely to be hard to find these days.
