I also live in an Antenna black hole.  I have had excellent luck with a DX Commander (out of England) multi band vertical.  I put it up on the weekends in my yard and take it down during the weeks.  It collapses down to about 3-4 feet tall so it sits nicely in the corner of the garage.  Plus it’s about $250 or less delivered to the U.S.
