One of the tubes I was looking over today, a Philco made one,  actually had "cool television chassis" printed on it.

6AC7 s are based the same as a 6SK7, but have a higher Gm, sharp cutoff,? and draw a bit more filament current. They were used extensively as an IF amp. in early FM and television receivers, as well as in the Hallicrafters S-30? "Ultra High Freqency" receivers.? They can often pep up a vintage general coverage receiver above 20MC. in the RF amp. position, but be aware of overloading and sometimes AGC problems. ?????? Bruce Gentry, KA2IVY

Is there any interest in 6AC7 tubes? I keep passing up a bunch that are probably old stock in boxes because they don't seem to get any interest at Ebay or elsewhere. ?Should I buy some of these for anyone in the Mailman radio groups?

 Thanks,
