I moved the totally empty cabinet with the lid removed up a stairway by
padding the steps and using a come-along to pull it, sliding it up on
it's side. I had to pause a couple times to get it back on course, but
it was easy. The empty shell is not terribly heavy, it's size is the
main issue. Being safe and avoiding injury is paramount, plan well,
take your time. If there are turns or intermediate landings on the
stairway, that may preclude this method. The complete dismantling also
gave an excellent chance to install casters on it and clean everything.
