Hi again,
It is a model 28. I was told that it is (as opposed to e-bay speak, where everything is "rare") that it is sort of rare among Model 28 devices. It does not have a type basket like a Model 14/15, rather the print head is a cylinder and rotates to position the letter to strike the ribbon.
Much quieter than the model 15 mailbox that I have.
