[GreenKeys] M28 ASR on its way to new home

Andy/KN4UCL of Boca Raton FL made the trip to Stone Mountain GA this weekend
and has departed with a GMC Yukon packed to the gills with a brand new (to
him) M28 ASR and a whole bunch of other goodies thanks to yours truly and
Nick/N0NCQ.  Andy has quite a bit of work ahead of him getting it all back
together and figuring out a myriad of extra wiring that has been added to
this machine over the ages.  The machine was picked up, along with several
others, on the Great East Coast (to mid-America) Teletype Picking Trip that
my wife and I made several years ago.  Nothing had been done to the machines
ever since I picked them up, so they are in a totally unknown working
condition.  We did quite a bit of picking and choosing amongst all my
"spares" to build a machine that even includes an Aux Reperf.  So once he
gets everything figured out he is going to have one awesome machine.  And it
even has a BLUE painted cabinet that I think is the original paint from
Teletype, although it is the only one I've ever seen that wasn't Navy Gray
or that off Green almost all USAF machines were painted.

 

Let's all wish him luck and offer what assistance we can on getting this
unknown condition machine humming along making all those beautiful sounds
and warming that oil producing wonderful smells.
