GM OMs;
It is amazing what a short span of time can do.
Back in the late '60's I got my first model 15 from
a guy who carried used military gear. It cost me $75.oo
which would be around $800.oo by today's standards.
Considering that I was making $1.15/hr as kitchen help
in a restaurant, that was A LOT OF MONEY!!!
Finding those things took a lot of work.
Now, they just wind-up in the scrap heap.
Other than (us?) the old stuff isn't worth anything
to anyone.
If I had a place to store the stuff, I'd be happy to
help out - but I have a tiny one-car garage and I couldn't
fit a 28-ASR no matter how I stored it.
