[GreenKeys] 33ASR keyboard cover

So, I've figured out a solution to my tape reader problem, but in so doing I had to remove the keyboard cover. Now that I go to put it back, when it's on, some keys (N, T, and ?) are down further than all the others, and all keys become unusually difficult to press completely; they stop at the bottom of their travel, and I have to press hard at that point for the key-press to register. Is there some trick to putting the keyboard cover back on, or have I royally screwed something up? I've tried multiple times and the result is always the same: N, ?, and T are down further than the rest and more difficult to make register.
Thanks,
Steven
