I bought a pair of them over the summer.  They were in excellent condition.  I haven't had a chance to dig into them to see how they're configured, but I suspect two punches can be combined to make 1 8-level punch.  At most, I'll have to anneal the punch block, drill and ream it for the missing punches, and then combine parts from the two punches to make one 8-channel punch.  I suspect there's much less work involved, because the quick look I took suggested they have universal punch blocks drilled for 8-channel use.
