[GreenKeys] LPW 300 paper winder

Bruce,

When I said it was a "sync" motor, I was speaking generically. It looks
like the standard phonograph motor. There is no starting capacitor.

It does not have a slip clutch.
There is a mercury switch on a bail that is operated by the paper being
wound up, such that just before the paper gets tight, the switch opens,
shutting off the motor.  When there is slack in the paper, the bail
falls and the motor turns back on. Perhaps the resistor was a safety
feature to prevent motor burn-out, but some one disabled it.

Thanks,

Duncan
