Yeah, I might give that a go (depending upon the aforesaid income), but I 
find that the lens keeps fogging up; even our Aussie electronics mag 
("Silicon Chip") has gone 99% SMD, and I'm missing out on a lot of cool 
stuff.

I remember etching my first PC board (ferric chloride!) when I was a 
school-kid in an enamel dish (the PCB I mean, not me!); let's say that Mum 
wasn't entirely happy...  Dad was impressed, though (he raised me to be an 
engineer type, but I got my music from Mum).
