Pete,
I thought someone else might have some input to your question, but since
no one has tried to answer it, I'll give you my thoughts.
Although I worked on a lot of TT-4A, TT-4B, & TT-4C/TG machines (50
years ago), I have never seen an original "TT-4/TG" machine. Rumor has
it that they were never fielded or that all TT-4/TGs that were
manufactured were later converted into TT-4A/TG machines. So no one may
be able to answer your question from experience. Only a close
comparison of the original TM 11-2234 manual with the newer TM
11-5815-206-xx manuals would tell what the differences were.
That being said, I don't think that the differences would be great and
the TM 11-2234 would be better than nothing, especially for someone who
has little or no experience with the Kleinschmidt military line. It
should give you a good start at understanding the TT-4A, just be aware
that TM 11-2234 will not be 100% representative as the machine you have.
(This goes for any manual. It can be hard to keep the manuals up to date
for any product that goes through many manufacturing cycles over many
years.)
Have fun & Good luck!
